smithy5160 0
i am a noob and havent even cleaned a saiga rifle or a complete breakdown. i have broken down a m16 for army rotc, but if someone has links or pics or a written step by step or pictroial breakdown of regular maintaince of all the stff you should do after shooting that would be great, and i think very helpful for everyone new here so that their rifle will be in great working condition. thanks
KySoldier 2
I take it you're new to the AK action alltogether since Saigas breakdown the same way. This will get you started... http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fieldstrip.htm You can also remove the gas tube which is explained on that site too. I would suggest not dissassembling the bolt itself; it isn't needed. It's real easy once you've done it a time or two and much simpler than the M16. Let me know if you have a problem. G O B 3,516
These are not fussy. Any good gun oil is OK. Synthetic motor oil will work. The barell is chrome lined and should be wiped dry. G O G
