cjjohn11 0
Just picked up my 7.62 with a 16in barrel today(from Centerfire in Versailles,KY)(guy said they had 500 two weeks ago and are down to 25, they must go fast). I have read alot on the parts count and just want to clarify something. Say i use an american made 30 round mag(3 US parts?), that means i just need to change out one other part for an american made part to meet ATF regulations, correct? What would be the cheapest/easiest part to exchange? Replace the gas piston? Replace the stock? Replace a handguard? Thanks for any info
taurussvt 0
Easiest would be to buy a Galil style handguard from tapco. Cheapest would probably be the gas piston.
BullShark012 1
I like this option: Tapco PG stock It's $100, but it bolts right on AND you get the PG.... Edit: If you change the stock, remember that there are 3 screws (1 underneath, 1 on the tang and 1 under the recoil spring inside the reciever). BTW, Welcome to the Club.
