TexasAg 0
Saiga 308-1 fractured bolt carrier.... Not a really good Sunday......While cleaning my Saiga 308-1 (16" barrel)...I noticed the bolt carrier had a small hairline crack. It starts at the crosspin hole on the bolt carrier and angles across to where the gas piston is threaded in. Weapon was bought new in Jan 2003...has had 60 rounds of South African and Port FMJ thru it. It ran fine...no hic-cups, etc. And the gas piston does not move in any way...no play / wobble, etc....it is solid. I emailed EAA in Florida today (sunday) at 2pm....they answered my email in 1 hour, 24 minutes. Told me to ship it back to them. Guess they will check it out and replace the bolt carrier assembly. Which means the serial numbers will no longer match. Damn, I wanted to take this Saiga to the Calvert shoot....Will let you know how the EAA service is.... take care....TexasAg __________________ "Aks take a licking and keep on ticking"

HerrLar 0
Good luck dealing with those people! If my experience with just getting them to break loose with a defective forend was any barometer, you should be shooting again by Xmas - in 2004! I'm saving up for the M-14 I should,ve bought in the first place.
Sheik Yerbouti 0
I had great luck with them when I broke a firing pin on a handgun. I asked for one and they sent two with two spring via FedEx. Had them in 48 hours with no charge.
