devildog1122 0
I saw this rifle and at local gunshop today for $459 and was thinking trading in my DPMS 16" A2 AR-15. I have one converted Saiga 223 already, but like this one because of the thumbhole and wood stock. What do you guys think? Also, I don't want the gunshop to rip me off for my AR, and would like to know how much is the reasonable trade in value. I bought this AR new for $899. gunnysmith 4
I've always liked this stock, There is less drop at the heel than the sporter style. The steel butt plate is spring loaded. You could add this to your Saiga. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=110377513
devildog1122 0
I want to get another Saiga .223 because I want one in its original configuration. I like this one becuase of the way it looks....
gunnysmith 4
That is what counts the most. Normally figure 30% of market value on the trade in. A gun shop will be making a profit on the deal. That is to be expected. If possible keep the AR and buy the Saiga, try going for a discount and see what happens. devildog1122 0
I haven't made up my mind, yet. My AR is nice and accurate, but it is a pain to keep it clean.
wailer 0
Hello first time poster, long time reader very curious about getting this rifle but just wondering, i am assuming this is still considered 14 foriegn parts, so if i wanted to get a surefire 20rd mag would i have to take the same procedure as all other saiga rifles, by getting it down to no more than 10 foriegn parts? Does any one possess this rifle or shot it at all?, As i have not seen anyone post anything about actually firing it
SirROFL 13
Swapping out the fire control parts would go a long way. Considering that you want to keep the stock. But don't take mine as the last word, I'm no expert. I just make guns for a living, I never said I made 'em legal.
