Lusaka 0
Thought I would put up another take on an extended mag release. Had difficulty finding one, particularly here in the UK. Needed an ambidextrous one for practical shotgun competitions, so did a mock up in cardboard and took it to a friend with way more technical skills and this is what we came up. To be honest there is not many ways to do it so it probably is not much different from others. Used velcro to add increased tactile grip for the finger tip as in wet conditions, otherwise it could slip on the smooth wet metal. The only issue I would add, is if you use the undergun method of racking the action, there is the potential of catching your wrist on it - you just have to watch the angle of your wrist. Little vid at here. This gun came with the mag well from the factory and with these Russian 8 round mags that slot straight in, the mag release just takes that bit more off reload times *edited for English and clarity!
