Makc 64
Here is my Saiga 7.62x39 with 75rd drum!
hartzpad 0
once a Saiga is modified for hi-cap AK mags, does the drum work just fine? Or do you have to fiddle with it a little?
Makc 64
You have to do a little change to the drum... It's an RPK drum, so you have to file the tounge a just a bit so the mag release catches it... There are a few types of drums floating around 1. Eastern Block This one is a top load 1-by-1, (Ouch!) all 75 of them (that takes a while I would imagine................) 2. PolyTech 396 (Chinese) Rear load - a lot more convenient!!! You can find these in 75-rd and 100-rd capacity! (...but I have heard that 100rds have some feading problems...)
wildmann43 0
The Chinese 75rd drums are actual military issue, while the 100rd drums are commercial models made for export to US. There are other variations for other applications, such as 90rds .223 for Galil & PolyTech, 120rd .223 for AR15/M16, & 75rd for 7.62x39mm Colt Sporter. Not to mention USA Mags conversion of 75rd AK drum to SKS T56.
