Fett 0
This is just out of couriosity. What Rocket Scientist came up with this one? Is my gun any less deadly if I have a trigger made in the USA vs. Russia? Will my bullets be any safer if shot from a Surefire mag vs. a modified AK mag? I'm just interested if anyone knows the logic behind this.

When they first came up with the concept, there were not many compliance parts available for certain rifles(AK, SKS, etc) Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
22_Shooter 1,560
Don't try to rationalize it. You will end up frustrated, and in the same place you were before you thought about it. Kinda like in NY. We still have an AWB, and nothing in it makes any sense...........at all.

BobAsh 582
It was written to prevent the importation of "assault weapons", not to prevent the ownership of imported "assault weapons".
