Was just planning on paying off the Saiga 12 I had on lay away, but found out the pistol I special ordered was there today also. So now I own my first set of firearms. Left the Saiga at the shop with my gunsmith so he could get busy on conversion. He recognized the Tromix stock right away and has done a ton of conversions already, so my new baby is in good hands. Once he's done he's doing the first round of Duracoat in Blackhawk Coyote Tan. Eventually doing it up in desert camo. Seems I lucked out on my special order pistol too. I ordered a Beretta PX4 Storm in 9mm. Thought I would be getting the "G" model, but was surprised to see they got me the LE only type "F" 3 magazines in the box and seems similar or maybe identical to the Type "G". Got good prices for both, based on lurking every gun forum I could find. $560 for the Saiga and $545 for the Beretta. Even though I have already spent almost as much as I paid for the Saiga in parts and magazines..not to mention the labor for the conversion and duracoat. So long tax return.
