oxyehho 8
How do you guys make sure nothing bleeds into the barrel, gas port, etc? Also, the gunkote instructions say to remove all pins so the oil wouldn't leak out and damage the coat. Do you then remove all pins and rivets? Seems like an overkill for a complete rifle such as Saiga, no?
dftc 0
A little bit of masking tape should keep the spray from going where you don't want it. Just remove the pins that are meant to be removed, not the rivets. That might be a little more difficult with a stock Saiga than a converted one as I believe the retainer wire is not easily removed from a stock Saiga, which means the FCG pins are not easily removed either. oxyehho 8
Oil leaking from the Pins or rivits is going to be inevitable if you dont completly strip the Gun,,,, Sorry guys - didn't pose the question properly. Assume the gun is fully stripped, so it's down to empty receiver and barrel. Do I need to remove front trunnion from the receiver and push the barrel out of the trunnion, push off gas block and the FSB?
