My dad is a WWII vet, he enlisted at 16 years old. That's right 16, his older brothers were in it, so he thought it was the right thing to do. To this day he won't talk about the war. Yes let's apologize for not wanting to adopt Eastern-European socialism, for removing ruthless tyrants from power and from standing up against the proliferation of nuclear weapons by terrorist states. It's true that we are not popular in most places in the world but doing what is right is rarely popular. I would rather die a proud American with a star spangled banner in hand knowing I did what I could to advance freedom amongst all men than live as a sniveling coward willing to do anything that might make me more popular.
