IndyArms 10,189 Posted February 21, 2005 Report Share Posted February 21, 2005 NO!!!! you do not need to grind any metal off a tapco replacement hammer. UNLESS.... you have a BHO device in the gun... if you have a BHO and want to use a TAPCO hammer, it will be TOO WIDE where the pin goes thru... You only need to take a TEENY BIT OFF... I matched the width of it to the STOCK hammer... I had to do this on my .223 conversion... NOW.... if you have some OTHER hammer, I dont know whether you will need to or not... BUT I will say most likely ... NO NO GRINDING THE HAMMER.... Quote Link to post Share on other sites
