Kriegerwithin 0
When watching the conversion video, it show the FCG with 3 E-clips, a disconnector spring and a nut. I did not receive any of those items, if they come with it. Would I have to order them from Dinzag? Edited June 23, 2009 by Kriegerwithin

What did you had to do to convert the old disconnector spring to work?

I couldn't do it, supposedly if you beat the hell out of it or cut it, it'll come apart, that's why I just bought another one. Figured 2 bucks was worth avoiding the frustration. Kriegerwithin 0
I got the factory spring out! I had to go to battle with the dremel to do it though.
bigcec1 72
You don't have to do any thing to the spring I've built a few aks and converts usualy all it is in there is a roll pin if you have any slack from left to right just push it to one side take some plyers and bend it into itself like crushing a drinking straw on one side and just push it out the outher side or use a screw driver or punch to fold the edge into the iside so u can push it out usuly does not take longer than 5 min
Kriegerwithin 0
Instead of opening up another thread, I'll ask another question on here. I've searched the forums atleast 5 times and came up with nothing. I have a CAA pistol grip but I can't get it to secure. It's always wobbling and the PG nut keeps poppin out. Someone know what to do?

I've searched the forums atleast 5 times and came up with nothing. I have a CAA pistol grip but I can't get it to secure. It's always wobbling and the PG nut keeps poppin out. Someone know what to do? when i got mine the pistol grip nut wouldnt fit completly in the PG hole in the reciever, so with filling and checking and repeat until it fit. my PG nut slides easily in than when i tightened the screw my PG was wobly . so i tighten the screw so it was very tight and i put my sheppereds crook back in to sucure the trigger and hammer bolts, the springs tension from my shepperds crook on the PG nut also held the PG nut securly. Hope this helps

Someone know what to do? When you say the pg nut are you referring to Ak grip screw and bushing http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...IP-SCREW/Detail or the nut that came with the pistol grip. My tapco saw did not come with the correct bushing, it had to be ordered seperate. But the screw that comes with the screw and ak bushing was too long, I used the screw from the grip package and the nut/bushing from the above link. Yeah the bushing, sorry for not making that clear, Ok the PG screw fits the bushing but it won't secure completely. The bushing keeps wobbling around inside the receiver which makes the PG wobble. lakedweller 10
A picture is worth a thousand words ........ If it wobbles using this nut use a shorter screw ...... Edited June 23, 2009 by Lakedweller
22_Shooter 1,560
I took some needle nose pliers, and luckily there was enough of an "edge" of the roll pin sticking out. I crimped one end of the roll pin, and just pushed it out, so I could get to the disconnector spring.

The bushing keeps wobbling around inside the receiver which makes the PG wobble. hmm.. tough without seeing it. Once its cranked down tight it shouldn't be able to move. The T-wings on the bushing kind of act like a washer and put pressure on inside bottom of reciever while the PG puts pressure on outside bottom of reciever. even if the pg hole is bigger than the bushing it still shouldn't move when tightened down well. The PG nut is in correctly? The top wings should sit flush on the bottom of reciever. with the fat part toward the back and the threads should angle toward the rear as well. Good luck. Kriegerwithin 0
The bushing is hitting the PG and leaving a gap that is bigger than the receiver. I don't have a digital camera so cell phone pictures are all I can provide you with. The PG interior is slanted so it's hard to file Edited June 23, 2009 by Kriegerwithin
