paprotective 362 Posted July 23, 2009 Report Share Posted July 23, 2009 I just bought for $15 this Romanian buttstock and PG (not the other parts shown) for my new 16" x39 Saiga. Any ideas on how to change the PG color to a lighter color (tan or so)?? Don't say buy another set.... Can bakelite be color changed?? Or has anyone here PAINTED theres and had it STAY/STICK?? I can easily sand the stock and restain it... Suggestions... Can't find any posts on 'this subject' on here... Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Anyways,its plastic,I believe its Krylon that has paint that sticks to plastic now,just rough it up some and it should do you good. JK-47 33 Posted July 24, 2009 Report Share Posted July 24, 2009 There is a testors translucent spray paint "candy apple red" that I've been thinking of trying out on a dark bakelite pg. I think a good light red/orange/yellow translucent paint might let the bakelite nuances come through but tint the PG closer to the color you'd want. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
