Elkhound 91
The cat has to be put down today. She is not that old, about 11, but she's got diabetes and cancer. Ugh, no fun. So, I'm going to take today off from work and deal with the cat and a few other errands. Sucks! I'd rather carry shingles onto a hot, three story, roof, all day, in 105 degree heat, than put an animal down. WJ
David Mark 2,452
That sucks WJ. Had to do the same last year to a pet of 16 years. Never easy. My best to you and yours.
kresk 10,063
I've got an old caleco who is hyperthyroid and fights like hell to avoid taking her meds. If it doesn't work out I'll be facing the same situation. I feel for ya.
KROSS FA 14
Sorry to hear about that WJ. I consider my animals a part of the family and it's always difficult to make a tough decision to put an animal down. Just know that you're saving her from a lot of pain and suffering. Sounds like she's lived a great life in the care of owners who truly care about her. Take care, buddy. Zach KROSS FA
SaigaNoobie 66
It's a tough decision when you have to put down a cat... especially if you have more than one gun to choose from. Good luck. Edited August 10, 2009 by SaigaNoobie
Azrial 1,091
I feel for you. Our pets are like family as well. I have had to do this myself and it is always hard. You have my condolences.

vbrtrmn 167
I can't imagine how hard that is, especially with the daughters!
Koliadko 207
I'm so sorry to hear that. Just did a little figuring and my cat is about 11. My son just added him as a friend to my facebook account. He's Sammy Cat and he's like a son to me. It's always difficult to lose a pet. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
