GB ad shows how bad Wraithmaker drums are

Recommended Posts

Here's a link with pics.

And for the lazy among us:

WOW, Alliance Armament just doesn't get it!!! Want the real story on their Practical Drum Comparison videos and how they was staged? Their business practices? Their history? The flaws in their design? Watch my jaw dropping videos!

NOW......Both of these drums have been torture tested as shown in this 3 part video on youtube,

The MD-20 is still functional.

The Wraithmaker is no longer functional (and never ran good to start with without the manufacture's "reliability service").

The damage to both drums is shown in the pics below and a description is as followed.

The Wraithmaker's tower is bent and will no longer fit into the receiver of the Saiga-12. The arm holding the follower is broke and is barley hanging on from the one side. The follower has been smashed up as well as sticking up too high now. It has also stripped some threading and it is no longer holding together it's front and rear plate tightly. The manufacture states that because of it's modular design that any part of it can be replaced if they become damaged. I'm not sure what it would cost but it would need quite a few parts to repair it. It is also very likely you WOULD NOT be able to perform these repairs yourself and would have to send it back to the manufacture for repair due to a press being used in assembly. You might also want to contact them first to see if the stripped threading in the rear plate can be repaired or if you would need a new plate. They will probably be able to give a full quote for the total repairs to this drum based on the description here.

The MD-20 has a minor crack in the drum body from hitting it with a hammer. The cover clip is bent and should be replaced. The rails on the cover that the cover clip slides through have broken off and the cover should be replaced. You can replace the cover and cover clip for about $30 and CAN perform these repairs yourself. (Due to the SIMPLE design of this drum you can replace ANY component of it yourself with nothing more than a screw driver or the rim of a shotgun shell and without having to send it back to the manufacture.)

A couple other specs of the 2 drums are as followed:

Weight (empty):

MD-20, 1 lbs 14.7 oz

Wraithmaker, 3 lbs 5.7 oz

Part count:

MD-20, 15 total (drum body, gear, dummy round, follower, cover plate, feedlips, spring, e-clip, cover clip, 6 screws)

Wraithmaker, Not sure of exact total but roughly 44 screws, pins, and clips, a 4 piece follower, a follower arm, a front plate, a rear plate, a 2 piece gear, a 4 piece rear tower, a front tower, bearing system, spring, feedlips.

Please view the details above for payment and shipping info. Make sure to check back later for more auctions to be listed.

Most of all... THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!!!!
