sacsucks 3
After some advice from folks on this forum, I went and got a tornado brush to clean the smooth bore saiga 12 I have. It works so well its amazing, but I have always worried about using steel cleaning brushes on a chrome lined barrel. Are these things gentle enough not to strip chrome as it seems to indicate on the label, or are my amazing piles of lead really lead and chrome? My fear is that I am cleaning too well, and slowly stripping away all my corrosion protection at the same time. Let me know your thoughts.
longhorn 81
I use them on every shotgun I own and have never had a problem.
aresv 49
The loops of wire on a tornado brush are nice and rounded. I wouldn't worry about scratching unless the wires broke. If you'd rather use something softer that still removes lead like crazy, try chucking a bronze brush in an electric drill.
