1liter 20
Does yours have play up or down, or side to side? My brake has a little play between the detent pin and the cut out on the brake. This is fine as long as the brake it self isn't flexing or moving in the path of the round exiting the barrel. I was thinking of a little red loc-tite and she should be good.
Digger44 0
It is pretty normal for most AKs to have loose muzzle brakes. The pin keeps it in place. You just have to figure out what loose means on an AK. I am looking right here at my SGL and there is a little play but not very much at all compared to the WASRs or Yugos I have seen with the slant brake. If you use loc-tite you will not be able to remove the cleaning rod anymore. As long as the pin is holding the brake in place and it isnt creating a noticeable angle blocking the bullets path you should be just fine. The majority of AKs are "loose". nalioth 405
There is no need at all for loctite. This is how it's designed. The design of the front sight block threads will keep the brake aligned as it needs to be. The spring loaded pin will also keep it from aligned as it needs to be.
