Does anyone know what methods of attachment are acceptable to lengthen a barrel to legal minimum? I have heard silver solder is ok, some guy at the local gun shop (customer) chimed in when I asked the 'smith and he said "Loctite is fine - as long as it cannot be removed by hand or wrench". That sounds iffy at best to me. I would really appreciate if anyone knows for sure. I can silver solder but don't have a welder and it would be difficult for me to get the barrel to my buddy with a tig.

Thanks in advance for any info

Well the guy who suggested loc-tite definitely has no idea. Yeah, red loc-tite is a bitch to remove, damn near impossible. Key word, damn near. God forbid if you ever end up in trouble with it, safe to say the ATF clown that determines it's permanent or not is gonna put that thing in a vise and use a wrench that looks like it's for the wheel lugs on a fuckin 18 wheeler.
