Ginzu8 0 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 I am in the process of replacing my saiga standard butt stock to the Saiga Dragunov Butt piece. having trouble taking the flat head screws. i dont want to strip the screws. is it suppose to be that tight?? any ideas how i can get the screws out?? chevyman097 2,579 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 Thats a good idea too, I was gonna suggest first make sure you have a wide tipped screwdriver that will fit in nice and snug. Second you could try letting some penetrating oil soak in for a little while, might loosen them up. You can allways clean up the oil when done. I managed to lossen 2 screws but the top rear one that sits behind the dust cover just wouldnt move, I end up having to drill the dame screw out. Lucky the saiga Dragunov stock only takes 2 screws.
