kevins7189 1
I know I've seen this question asked before but searches for tapco, recoil pad, buttstock pad, results in way too much or nothing. Anyway, just need a hand knowing which if any recoil pads that aren't tooo thick fit the standard tapco AK buttstock. thanks! Paulyski 2,227
Depends on how long your arms are I would suppose. Is your stock WARSAW or NATO length? The aftermarket pads say that they add an inch, but it's really a touch less than 3/4". The brand I refer to is the UTG "deluxe" combat style, model 47 butt pad. (RB-K7BTP01) I think the "Deluxe" part refers to all the little sharp points intended to keep the pad on your shoulder without slipping. The rubber is hard, so they just stab you, I shaved them off with a razor blade. They do reduce felt recoil, but simply through a larger footprint. The rubber isn't soft & squishy by any means.
