Matthew Hopkins 1,065
it makes the insertion of a fully loaded mag much easier, if the bolt is locked back. Edited February 27, 2010 by Matthew Hopkins
thealmightysam 2
It also allows you to keep the bolt locked back with a mag loaded, so the pressure against the bolt doesn't squash the first round in the mag. If you use your S12 for home defense, like I do, that's a pretty handy feature. But yes, you can remove the bolt catch. Your hammer is clearanced for the bolt catch, though, so you might want to do some function tests with the hammer slid all the way to the right side of the gun, in case it walks on you. Or just shove a washer in there.
