marlborocowboy92 1
After you guys convinced me to convert my rifle I ordered the parts and yesterday began my conversion. It so far has been soooooo easy. I Have taken everything apart, but now I need to put it back together. I am trying to figure out where the disconnector spring goes exactly? also any advice on anything else would be great and some sort of visuals for how the internals are supposed to go in would be great. TL;DR how does the disconnector spring go in?
marlborocowboy92 1
I would really appreciate it if you guys could help I am so close to having it done just need to know this.
paprotective 362
Insert the disc spring between the 2 opposing holes. While squeezing them (trigger/disconnect lever) together insert the tube/pin thru to hold it together. Spring goes where marked.
KC913 324
Disconnector spring goes into the hole in the disconnector before you put the trigger group together, like this: Another picture of internals
paprotective 362
Here is a better pic showing the hole in the TRIGGER piece and DISCONNECT lever.
marlborocowboy92 1
thanks guys I got it. I think I put the mainspring on the hammer wrong though cause once assembled it wouldnt disengage the trigger... But after that I just need to reattach the trigger guard and put on the pistol grip and I am done.
marlborocowboy92 1
one more thing... is the tapco g2 hammer already ground down for the BHO?
cobravenom39 17
one more thing... is the tapco g2 hammer already ground down for the BHO? only if you opted for the "modified" one. I got the modified one and I would highly recommend grinding down G2 and installing the BHO while the guns apart. It's not THAT difficult and then you can use it on all ranges. paprotective 362
Compare the factory one vs. the standard Tapco G2 and you will notice the hammer 'bar' is about 1/8" skinnier. Grind off the 1/8" (measure yours first and compare) and make sure you grind the proper side.. Notice the masking tape on my G2 from a few months back.. And after. thehopping1 105
one more thing... is the tapco g2 hammer already ground down for the BHO? Only if you bought the drop in FCG for Saiga's. Then you wouldn't need the disconnector spring spring either.
