Need help buying my first AK!

I've ordered from K-Var. They are the only game in town for many parts. Got my items quickly, prices were cheaper than private sellers on forums and the parts were all individually packed in heat sealed plastic bags. When I need specific parts (bullet guides, rivets, pistons) I go to them and will again.

Well you saiga guys well be happy to hear i have decided to go Saiga. Im tired of debating over RPK and AK. Every rifle i find has so many disadvantages and advantages and i can never find a well rounded rifle with everything i want, or without worrying about Century and their crappy creations. The whole idea of relying on any of these rifles seems ridiculous. So screw it, ill get a Saiga, do the conversion, and create the rifle I WANT. From what i understand its basically like the easy way to build your own rifle anyway. And what a lot of people tend to forget is the Saiga still fires rounds without a conversion. Its a decent rifle anyway, and dirt cheap. so why not. +1 for Saiga.

+1! I have had good experiences with K-var so far. Some of their prices may be a little high, but some of their products are competitively priced. They have a wide array of high quality products. I have always found their service to be excellent, but YMMV.

Another big +1 for K-Var. I'm not sure why nalioth hates them so, but I've placed several significant orders through their website and never had a problem. The products were shipped promptly and were as-advertised, (excellent).

 

I'm sure I'll do more business with K-Var in the future, as they offer more available new mil-spec AK parts than just about anywhere else.

im an ak noob but ill tell you what gets my goat about k var.they act like greedy corporate scum.i guarantee you if they could get you paying thousands of bucks for a rifle they would did and will. i know its patriotic to get burned by rich people and everything but i pine for a land that makes a quality product and charges what its worth.is an sgl worth 750?maybe but that could change real fast if everyone looks at them like the only option to get something good.look at that video with that imbecile nuttinfancey.dudes just ooze sleeze.
