garandman 11
... the follower of an S20 5-rd mag to squeeze a sixth round in? I haven't checked, but I'm guessing the follower is restricting the mag capacity to 5 rds.
garandman 11
No one has tried this? Or even thought about it? Come on....I'm a newb....I can't seriously be the first person to think of this....
theplastik 67
No one has tried this? Or even thought about it? Come on....I'm a newb....I can't seriously be the first person to think of this.... I did this to a mag once. The problem you will encounter is a possible misfeed, most likely just the last round though. The more material you remove, the more likely you could encounter a misfeed with any of the rounds.
garandman 11
My rough estimate is I'd need to remove about 1/2" of the follower, to fit a 6th round. Shouldn't cause too much follower tilt. The bigger problem may be if the spring can compress any more than it does with the factory follower.
Nailbomb 10,221
Aside from trying to "fix" a few promags, and doing some light sanding on my AGPs, I've never really dicked around with my mags. I would keep me 5 rnd mags at 5 rnds for sporting capacity limits.
