Paint thinner works well, as does oven cleaner. Laundry detergent cleans engine blocks, so it may clean the cosmo. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

danklab 57 Posted June 2, 2010 Report Share Posted June 2, 2010 if it's just light.. then take them apart and spray with the brake cleaner, wipe down and reassemble. if it's really old and caked on.. take them apart and throw all the parts in a pan.. then douse everything with wd-40 liberally. let that soak for a while. then spray everything off with some fast evaporating brake cleaner and wipe down.
