RGVBadBoy 9
I ordered the JT Eng Magwell yesterday along with alot of other Saiga goodies but now I'm questioning my gunsmithing abilities. Does anyone have any pics or maybe even a video instructional on installing a JT Eng Magwell for surefire mags, maybe even one on modding the surefire mags to work right? I think I can handle the install, I did the conversion on my Saiga and have all the necessary tools can someone please enlighten me? Thanks, Mike

Thanks, Mike I put a magwell on mine a while ago but ended up taking it off because the 20 rd drums were simply too tempting. But it is fairly simple, just align the magwell following the instructions, and drill + one hole. Put the bolt in and do the rest. Use loctite if you can. For the mags I used a dremel + belt sander. MAKE SURE you only do a little bit at a time and constantly check until you get a nice tight fit. After my first mag I thought "o this is easy" and blazed through a 2nd one only to burn 40$. Sorry I dont have any pictures, the only camera I have is the one on my phone. Good luck and have fun

RGVBadBoy 9
KillDozer, Thanks for the reply, so basically what your saying is that it can be done relatively easy? Thanks again, Mike

I would love to, but I don't know anyone who'd be willing to buy a used one and risk the mag not fitting

Thanks again, Mike It's pretty easy to do, all you need is a power drill and something to use as a clamp. Just measure the fit several times so you don't mess it up, it has some tolerance but not much. If its off to the wrong direction the mags will hang up a little when you insert them, defeating the purose of having it. So yes, easy, but be sure to pay attention. I'll take some risks that I may have to dump them, if the price is right.
RGVBadBoy 9
After close review of the instructions, I think I'll let a professional gunsmith do the magwell for me, I just installed the RAM ambi extended mag release, I LOVE IT!!! I think the next thing I do is get me an amb AR stile safety selector on it:) Thanks again, Mike
