Im going to say what I said on ar-15.com that got some people upset but here goes. My uncle is in the navy stationed in VA, I might be able to pursuade him to give him a visit to PICK UP my drum in person, HE HATES THIEFS AS MUCH AS I DO. He would be wise to return it to me but I doubt he will, as hes shown his unintelegence by thinking this wouldnt catch up with him. Im done on this thread. Makc SAID its the same email. he has access to that as site admin/owner, so unless he is dyslexic and has one IQ point, I am sure if he confirmed that email, then thats how it is. if anyone would like some advice on how to prosecute someone for electronic and mail fraud, give a holler. Bvamp 604 Posted May 15, 2005 Report Share Posted May 15, 2005 well, see, i was going to suggest you check your computer for them. what will often happen is someone like your son will sift around and try to find tools to scan for that stuff and use them to steal someone's bank account # and so on. often, inexperienced users of these tools will infect themselves with them, or become infected in the course of searching out such information. I ran a port scan the other day on your computer, and it seemed secure still at that point. what has happened since then i do not know. you need to completely scan your computer with your anti-virus, and you also need to completely clean your machine of ad and spyware without a doubt. i addressed this issue in another topic. if i were the one trying to break into your machine, there would be no way you would know it unless you were very educated with networks and software implementation blah blah. those of us that know the roots of all the internet know how to do this, and you dont need a trojan to do it. call it a tradecraft? its not openly shared to others. i am sure you are being scanned by some people who are seeing an infection on your computer or know that your son downloaded a trojan horse and are persistantly trying to get into your machine. i can assure you that we do not have a canadian audience here. toronto is a large outlet for virii and other blackworld stuff like that, so it doesnt surprise me in the least that you see scans coming from there. this is kid's stuff. if it were me, as you suspect? you would have no data on your hard drive, or worse, but i play nice now that im older. i fight that kind of stuff when im bored. i addressed some of this type of issue in a topic in the general section that i pinned after becoming moderator here. this is it. read it. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=2467 someone might also on your behalf post a copy of what you said on the other gun forums, as it seems you want to make good on your son's mistakes. one more suggestion. CHANGE ALL OF YOUR PASSWORDS IMMEDIATELY, and check your bank statements. its not your son that you should worry about moneywise right now, but some person in a 3rd world country that may have compromised your accounts and stole out of your bank. I know people this has happened to. anyway, the gun community is not like other communities in this country. also, i dont think anyone wishes that your son get a can of whoop ass opened on him, but that is your business. you should make him wash your truck with his toothbrush. how long do you think that would take? heh. probably quite a while. how old is your son Mr Nolan? if i may ask... and when do you think the matter with my users will be cleared up by? Me and my son have had a long talk and he has a lot of chores to do for the next 8 months, that is how long he will be with out his 72 nova. He is almost seventeen. He is at that very rebellious age. But i think i have it in controll now. I think i made a mistake when i gave him a wasser 10 on his sixteenth birth day. eversince then he has been gun crazy.
