jcmacconnell 25
Hey guys...figured I'd post my latest addition to my SGL 21. Its a Weaver 2.5-7 Variable Power Scope. I saw this scope on some of Nutnfancy's video's on YouTube and he was claiming hits out to 200 yards. So I figured I'd go with it. Anyone else running scopes...if so what are you shooting at distance wise
paprotective 362
Shooting a FIXED 6x32 NcStar with my 5.45x39 Saiga and able to get consistent 5" groups at 200 yards.. under 3" at 100 yards. For my 762x39 Saiga I decided a 1x28 Bushnell Trophy Red Dot with 3MOA dot, 65/3, 10, & Crosshair was in order.. I was running a 6MOA Bushnell Trophy Red Dot and was getting 5" groups at 100 yards and 8" groups at 200 yards.. hopefully this will tighten me up at the 200 yard mark.. Still working on my 3-9x40 Bushnell on my S308... getting 7" at 260 yards.. and 3 shot 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards and 5-6" groups at 200 yards with that.. 2-7 is a good size to go with.. shades_of_grey 1,092
Considering the ballistics of the 7.62x39 round, and the role the AK was built for, I prefer a 1x Russian red dot, (PK 23-01), on my Legion rifle. It works quite well out to ~200 yrds, (haven't tried it any any distance significantly longer than that). Here's a few pics: Edited September 7, 2010 by post-apocalyptic
rigrat 7
Well aim small, shoot small, or that's the saying. Yes I know a Ak isn't a tasrget rifle but if you are using a 4-6 MOA dot you are already loosing accuracy. That being said have a 4.5x14 Muller set up for my 5.45, but haven't gotten around to trying it out yet. I prefer the red dot though. I think a ideal scope would be a variable 1x4 or up to a fixed 4 power for the AK's
