It's started.

I found a nice RCBS press with 4 sets of dies for the right price (free :super: ) last weekend, and now I'm in the process of setting up a bench and picking out a few recipes to try out. I'm gonna start with some 25-06 and play around until I find something I like in that caliber.

I've also got a Lee Load All 2 in 20Ga and a Mec 600 Jr. for my shotgunning needs.

This ought to be fun.

From personal experience... make sure that bench is heavy. Carbide dies take a bit of force to use, and when extracting the case from the die you don't want to be lifting the bench off the ground.

My bench has a couple of 40 lbs bench weights I got with my 68 Corvair sitting on the frame.

I've got about 15 rounds of 25-06 with 100 gr Sierra Matchking bullets loaded up to 3000 FPS. I know the rounds are a bit on the slow side, but I'm gonna work up to the normal 3200 FPS rather slowly (and maybe pop one or two 3400 FPS rounds out just for the hell of it).
