A few questions

Recommended Posts

I'm saving up my pennies for a basic tromix conversion (with folding stock), and who knows I might even try for the July batch, but I have a few questions.

1) How much would it be for a Tromix logo? I know you guys have to do it for SBS', but what if I just want one? I mean if I'm going to get a Tromix, it might as well say it! Where on the body is it BTW?

2) If I want a hogue grip instead of the SAW, can it be done at the time of construction? It seems silly to essentially pay for a SAW grip if I already know I want to take it off. So would I send you the grip when I ship the gun and you deduct the price of the SAW grip from my total, or can you guys just swap it there during the build?

3) Whats the deal with axis-pin retaining plates vs. the paper-clip looking pins? what do you guys use? is the plate better than the pin? if so, can you install that part during the build? if so, how much? if the plate isn't better, then ignore this question.

4) Since the above are kind of specific requests, at what point during the ordering process do I let you know?

All guns are now engraved with "TROMIX" on the receiver. No charge.

We use the factory-style wire retainer as Kalashnikov intended. The plate is not superior, but some think it is easier to install for a novice.

When ordering is opened in July, you will be able to specify whatever options you want. We don't stock hogue grips so you will have to work that particular detail out with Tony.

Due to this recent "panic" bullshit, the phone/e-mails have been blowing up and burning an inordinate amount of my time, taking away from gun building. So I had to push back the new order date to July in order to keep the lead times reasonable.

Hi Tony, thanks for popping into my thread.

one more question please - I know your website says you refinish the guns with Moly Resin, but I was wondering, what specific color do you use? Just curious.
