Mr.Atoz 0
Hi everyone, I just wanted to share a problem I had with TulAmmo recently in case any of you were considering purchasing it. I was in WalMart today to buy some .223 on my way to the range. They were sold out of everything except TulAmmo, so I bought a couple boxes to use in my Saiga .223. The ammo was so weak that it did not generate enough energy to reload the weapon and I had to manually reload every time. I went out and got some more expensive ammo and it worked fine. Summary: TulAmmo is very cheap, but it is also VERY weak.
Joesmoe 14
I've had problems with Tula also, it says non corrosive on the box but my rifle sure did rust up quick after shooting it.
kresk 10,063
I'd usually assume the Russian ammos are at least mildly corrosive, no matter what they tell you.
dowork1021 64
I shot 200 rounds of Tula in mine and it ran perfect. Maybe you just got a bad batch.
L5K 162
I shoot a bunch of TulAmmo 9mmMak out of my East German Makarov. Never had a problem, but I would generally just use Russian ammo for Russian calibers and leave the .223 and 5.56 cartridges to Nato countries. I'm weird about things like that.
