Conversions of Magazines to Saigas?

Getting a new Saiga 308 used.

Extra magazines seem high $?

 

Can any surplus ones from other mfg. / rifles be converted?

 

Or has anyone been do ing a "do it yourself" build discussion?

I've heard about converting M1/M14 mags somewhere.

As one who wasted some money on "professionally converted" G3 magazines for my S-308 (which I reviewed here), I would advise saving your money and buying proper Saiga mags. Preferably from CSSpecs, if you can afford them.

I bought a three pack and could not be happier, yes they are are little on the expensive side. However they work well and I will be purchasing more in the future.

Since I greatly prefer 15 rounders, those 20 and 25s really can be way too long, I had to pickup some Surefire as CSspec is redesigning his atm.

I would rather have his though.
