glehr 0
Great site, lots of info. I purchased a converted S12 recently. Lovin' it so far, but am going thru the FTE low brass thing. This gun came with the gunfixer adjustable gas knob, and supposedly has the MD Arms booster puc in it. The puc looks similar to the pics on CSS with slight variations. The thing is, its not marked MD ARMS. My question is are all MD booster pucs stamped with the name? Is it possible this is an MD ARMS booster puc not marked? I am inserting the puc like it came in the gun, which was flat end towards piston. Is this correct? By the way, Kudo's to Carolina Shooters. I just ordered a few items from them and was amazed at the speed they shipped. Great company.
datrowl 111
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the nipple end goes to the piston and the flat end should be faceing the end of the gas tube opening.... yea?....no?.....yea?...

glehr 0
http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-1054/MD-ARMS-BOOSTER-PUC/Detail Should be marked like the photo. Concave side faces the hot gases. EDIT; post a picture. I think you're right. This puc looks just like the picture exept the concave portion extends to the very edge. It most definitly is not marked MD like the photo. The puc's with the extended nipples go against pistons to shorten gas chamber but this puc goes flat side against piston. This was a new, never fired gun. I've checked and this is a 3 port. All 3 are exposed and appear to be at the right angle (towards puc). I've put about 150 rounds thru it so far, and with gas adjustments it has cycled everything except the walmart winchester. I had a buddy pick up some federal bulk so i'll see if it does the same with it. The conversion and extra's were done by a company that does it professionally. Thanks for the help. If it doesn't sort out, I may try a different puc first.
yooper14.5 84
does it look like this? this is a king armory puck.
glehr 0
does it look like this? this is a king armory puck. That looks like it! Any markings on the flat side ? I just started putting Federal bulk thru it, and so far so good. Amazing. I'm using the stock 5rd mag now but am going to try the AGP and Surefire's next. I'm still not confident with the puc. Anybody using the king armory puc ? Any opinions on it? This site/forum is amazing. Thanks guys.
Mullet Man 2,114
Anybody using the king armory puc ? Any opinions on it? Oh man, dont open that, "can o worms"! (i'm just gonna say search to find the drama thread, if you want to read it.) Both the MD and KA pucks have good reputations. MD is the hometown favorite of this forum tho and rightfully so. I would personally start looking at other areas of the firearm as a whole, (FCG, BCG, Hammer drag, Gas port diameter) rather then swapping pucks out. These S12's can be made to run and run reliably with a stock puck and regulator. Edited August 26, 2011 by Mullet Man

My mind is at ease. Incidentally, I just went thru a surefire mag with federal bulk. Half shouldered and half folded. No hiccups. 3 hours ago I wouldn't have thought that possible. Amazing the difference in cheap ammo. I've got a 12rd drum coming so we'll see how that functions, but it looks like the next thing i'll be considering is bolt and hammer work. I'm back inluv. I'm back inluv. not a problem, i own one, but because of my shitty ports the gun wont run with it. i have to use a md booster puck. the KA puck was the first puck to make any real improvements over the factory puck, and does offer cycling improvements, they just vary from gun to gun, from significant to barely noticable. the booster puck offers consistent improvement from gun to gun, and is cheaper. both are very quality pucks. the hammer and bolt work will make a world of difference to your gun, and theres a lot of vendors here who can do a great job with it. mine was done by cobra, and its outstanding. right now hes in the middle of a hurricane though, so he"s probably temporarily unavailable. tbizzle 18
the MD arms booster puck is the lightest one on the market. It weighs about half of what a factory puck does. Thus the reason it works so well
