ljarmy84 3
I dealt with this issue when I was stationed at Fort Stewart, GA. Technically the Posts regulations do not allow NFA weapons to be possessed on post. My commander at the time signed my registration for the post but wouldnt allow me to store them there obviously due to the regs. I changed the registration to my friends house and stored them in a locked safe. This is actually legal to do with NFA weapons if the person with whom your storing the items with does not have any control over the items. Oh almost forgot. I was the unit armorer NCOIC the last 18 months I was in. You cannot draw personally owned weapons without the CO's permission. If anyone has an issue with an armorer taking out their weapon without permission, you can royally get him rolled for that shit!
MCASgt New River 10,036
As long as the other person doesn't have access to the safe/lock box your good to go. Meaning he/she doesn't have the key or combo.
