GKW 4
I am going to take my S12 dove hunting for the heck of it. Rather than put in a mag, load the chamber, remove the mag, top off the mag, and re-insert..... If I single load the chamber thru the ejection port and release the bolt, then install the 2-rd mag, will that cause any problems? Will I get a slam-fire? Will the bolt seat properly fire the round Will it extract that shell okay? Any other problems?
forceflow17 16
As far as I know, you "should" have no issues. As it isnt an open bolt weapon, pulling the trigger(which releases the hammer)is required for discharge. I've breach loaded my saiga 7.62, just dont have a shotgun yet. Battosaii 99
no problems at all ive done this many times, the s12 has a spring on the firing pin for this reason
YOT 3,743
That's how I do it.
lipadj46 2
agree you would have to have quite a series of unfortunate events to get a spring loaded (non floating) firing pin to slam fire
forceflow17 16
Just don't try it with a 240B...
qcabinet 0
actually... it's a closed bolt..... meaning it fires from a closed bolt. A m249 or a 240b is an open bolt.
