Just recently got my first AK, the SGL-31 and wanted to mess with it a bit and do my own left hand charging handle (I know it's blasphemy but at least i won't do it to factory parts). My question is, will a standard AK-74 bolt carrier and dust cover work on my rifle?(I know the sporter Saiga parts will but since these are based on SLR-100) I am just wondering if I find some at the local gun show if I can use those? As for the dust cover I currently have east German AK74 covers on both of my Saigas, they fit real tight if they are new but they will fit perfectly Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I have seen people use E German ak 74 carriers and i would presume the bulgarian would fit also. however, the bolt must be from your SGL though.
