nobearsyet 3
Nearing time to order a 308, have most of my build list in hand and what happens? i go to the rifle dynamics website and see something else i want, the bolt on AK gas block. Question is has anyone used it or even know if it'll fit? gas port location is the only forseeable problem but I don't know if it's a 90 or 45 degree gas block. Who's pressed off their block? Better yet anyone have pictures of one installed?
sidewinder11 7
do you have a press? if not leave it alone. It's a lot of work to press off a gas block for very little reward Edited December 7, 2011 by WarHammer28
nobearsyet 3
yes I do and have done it lots of times with home builds. but want to not buy a $100 gas block and have it not work.
sidewinder11 7
$100 I don't know where you're getting that from. Check the marketplace you'll find people selling them for $25 at that price why reuse the saiga one when you can get a bulgarian with the bayo lug
nobearsyet 3
i am wanting the block Rifle Dynamics sells with the HK front sight cast into it. They say 100 on their website
sidewinder11 7
I get it now. Sorry I was missing that. This is a really slow forum. I don't think you'll find people posting that they have done it before here. Why not contact the company and get asurance from them. If you end up doing post up some pics so we can see what it looks like. Good luck!
nobearsyet 3
Trust me, I will, waiting on a reply from Rifle Dynamics now, but then again I've been waiting on it for 3 months now, and nobody can tell me if the Saigas use a 45 or 90 degree gas port.
