Saiga .308 bolt rubbing on next case?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. So I was at my local gun shop and I was asking one of the guys if they could order a Saiga .308. He caution about an issue of the bolt in the .308 rubbing on the case of the next round to be loaded. According to him, they had to size everything up from x39 to x51. When they did that, there wasn't quite enough room.

1. Is this true? Has anyone actually experienced this?

2. Does it matter? I don't do any reloading (yet), so I don't gather my brass. I assume if this caused feeding and/or ejecting issues, there would be a lot of talk and I haven't heard any.

3. If this is true and it is an issue, is there a fix?

4. Did a search (on Google as well), but didn't see anything. Sorry if this has been posted.

5. Sorry for improper parts terminology. Still have some things to learn.

Thanks!

1. Yes

2 . Only matters if u are reloading

3. Not serious issue , like ccspecs said file and polish rough edges on 3rd lug also some after market mags have to much spring pressure when fully loaded in my 25rd mags I only load 20 (surefire) I fully load the 20rd fbmg/uinita mag and 20 in a 24rd promag .
