Dad2142Dad 6,559
So bought my S306 16" awhile back and went for the wood. Was ok but for being unconverted had do put up with trigger and the wood was always a concern for dings and nicks. Pretty but not really functional. So I ordered a bunch of parts from CSS the other day (Greg you are awesome as usual!) to make my own little assualt rifle 308 SAIGA SGM MUZZLE BRAKE COLLAPSIBLE HAMMER STOCK ACE INTERNAL RECEIVER BLOCK- STOCK ADAPTER INTERNAL STOCK ADAPTER HARDWARE M4 STOCK FOLDING MECHANISM SAIGA- AK47 CAROLINA SAIGA RIFLE TACTICAL BILLET QUAD-RAIL GRIP AK/SAIGA W/INTERCHANGEABLE INSERTS BASIC CONVERSION KIT #1 all Saiga 223, 7.62, 308, 5.45 Rifles and 410 & 20 Gauge Shotguns Am happy with it this time and shooting is a blast Edited January 22, 2012 by Dad2142Dad
frz1197 128
How well did the muzzle brake work? I've been toying with getting one of those.
Dad2142Dad 6,559
Works very well has less kick than my AK-47 now. The fireball from the 16" now goes out both sides, quite a night light.

Scuba Steve SA 1
must admit I like the wood, but the new kit looks really nice. Like you say - more practical. the .308's have just arrived here... my wife will divorce me if I even think about it... hey her birthdays next month, wonder if "she'd" like one????
