Cucamonga 0 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 (edited) I have easily found many detailed tutorials showing how to do the rear end/trigger conversion but I have not located a good very detailed front end tutorial showing how to remove the front sight, gas block, complete the conversion and then reassemble. Can someone make suggestions to good links that provide detailed examples and instructions? Are most of you doing your own front end work or having it done for you? I did notice the CSS sells a two piece hand guard retainer that enables the conversion with out removing the gas block and sight, anyone using this part? I started mine, and then got my FSB stuck halfway. I paid a shop $25.00 to put it on crooked, and then straightened it back up myself. It was pretty easy to remove the stock FSB, and if I had sanded the barrel under the fsb putting on the Bulgy would have been pretty easy. BTW, MARKW1 sells pretty good stuff in the marketplace, he is the one I bought mine from. Getting the new FSB straight is the key, and keeping it straight while you drill the pin holes out.
