poolingmyignorance 2,191
Hey everybody, This is obviously a question I'm asking. The possiblites are too many to make a poll (which are usless and constictive anyway)so I decided to ask straight out: whats your ultimate version of a draco, or mini draco? Now I know there is already a picture thread going for dracos so thats not realy what I'm after. Though I do love gun porn as much as the next guy. What I'm after isn't just a list of things that you'd piece together, but what you'd like to see on one thats not already availible. I'm looking to do one without SBR'n it. Why? Because alot of people can't SBR in their lesser states, and I'd like to see what I can do but I'd like some ideas for fodder. First off I'm thinking left side charging handle. Single point sling Angled fore grip Rails...not sure what kind of hang guard. I may make something custom... Ideas? oh and ofcourse pics of my new family member!!! datrowl 111
Meh, easy for me, I added... Tromix bolt on charge handle, Krebs custom safety, Extended ambi mag release, SVD flash supressor,Hogue PG and forend, Sling plate, Surefire flashlight with crosshairs etched on the lens so the beam throws a distinct crosshair pattern ( self made with some glass etch from local craft store, black enamel paint, and a very thin brush ) for me, the Draco is my house gun... its what i grab when things go bump in the night... in its current configuration its small enough to fit thru doorways, down halls, has enough on tap firepower to handle anything i encounter, the modded flashlight works well as a source of illumination and targeting... projecting the crosshair on the target for instant shot placement .... the Hogue set adds both grip which is useful on a weapon of this size in an intense situation, and adds an extra layer of protection against noise if i happon to bump it against a door frame, on top of that its just the most comfortable grip and forarm i've ever seen for any AK.... most firarms I own have a reason to exist... and I tailor each to fill that role as best I can, this.... loaded with a poly mag I coated in black plastidip ( more noise supression insurance ) and fragnable ammo to keep room to room penetration is as close to perfect for the job at hand as I can imagine... only thing i'd change if i could would be to add a VFG... sadly illegal and thus not equiped
Shotgun12 205
I have been wanting a Draco for some time now but everyone is all dried up. Does anyone know when any new shipments of Dracos are going to arrive?

poolingmyignorance 2,191
so the process has begun..needs some more work, but so far here's the run down: Left side charging handle, closed up the slot on the opposite side and fabed a new selector stop on the dust cover. Used the left over saiga 410 hand guard chopped it down and added a rail to it to mount a AFG. And a tapco flash hider... So now I've got to figure a way to mount a rail to the dust cover. And of course the obligitory gun porn...behold:

Details on how you closed the hole and fabbed the new safety stop? Would you convert someone elses for $$$?
poolingmyignorance 2,191
I used the piece I cut out from the other side and welded it to the old slot.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
Hi everybody, I'd previously shared pictures of my Draco's evolution into what will be my ultimate vision. But untill I decied on exactly what that is, I figure I should test fire it in it's new configuration to see how it feels. Honestly I'm in LOVE with this thing. It needs a red dot so bad...but for now it's pretty nice. Anyhow heres a video of my shooting it, enjoy the video:
DropKick867 9
I was going to SBR my full-size Draco, then got to thinking that it would only be a little shorter than my underfolder....so then I thought I'd get a Mini and SBR that...by then neither was available anywhere....so I figured it might be best to leave it relatively unmodded.. For now I've ground off the barrel-nut spot weld and replaced the nut with the slant brake that came with my RPK. I finished the furniture with four coats of Minwax Sedona Red and Four coats of Top-Oil so its a sweet looking Russian Red kind of deal... Other than that, the final mod was one of those sling-mount plates that fits between the receiver and the pistol grip. If and WHEN these things come back in stock, then I'll start dreaming big dreams again....didn't Romania have some big governmental crisis recently?...I'll bet there's a whole new set of palms that need greasing before the imports get back to full steam...
