308SAIGA 55 Posted March 1, 2012 Report Share Posted March 1, 2012 I just purchased what was said to be a Saiga X39 bolt, there are no markings on the bolt or the 3rd lug, like my 308, which leads me to believe it is not from a Saiga. I did find a U and an X with a dash on both sides but no other markings. Also does the X39 bolt have a spring loaded firing pin? This one does not. Items would be the receiver, barrel, front sight, gas block & tube, carrier, NO BOLT, trigger, stock nothing but the top end..... shades_of_grey 1,092 Posted March 30, 2012 Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 7.62x39 Saiga bolts have 2 lugs and a free-floating firing pin, (no spring). This is by design.
