Whiskey 21 Posted April 26, 2012 Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 Anyone know of a place to get an AK gas tube for the 5.45? I got my last one from CSS without vents. Seems they are not selling them anymore and the vented ones are out of stock. Looking to do my 5.45 conversion using wood furniture and I'm stuck. I wanted to do a "twin set" and hang them on the wall, which is why I am wondering if the paint on the gas tubes will be the same. K-Var has them and they are Bulgarian. I am wondering if the one I got from CSS, to do my other conversion, was a Bulgarian too. Are all the conversion AK gas tubes from Bulgaria or Poland? Midway has one that is straight from Izmash but more expensive, I may just go with them. If I knew this before (about Midway) I would have purchased the gas tubes from them.
