    The Saiga rifles are not banned and the Saiga 12 is banned by name. Izmash does not make a rifle named "Izmash Saiga AK" which is in the banned by name list. Saiga rifles are still legal to buy and sell and there was NO need to register them.     With each commercial on tv promoting these legal drugs with a "million and one" side effects and half not approved by the fda, yes these could really be the problem. For one to say its not and lets keep moving, without an outside source (not controlled by the government or persuaded) doing a in depth study, is just not seeing a connection. The hunting dog is pointing but no one is (wants to)looking.

    They are not banned in NY and in CT their new illegal law banned by name section states "IZHMASH Saiga AK; . Izhmash does not make a model named Izhmash Saiga AK, so they are still available to be sold here in CT.

    I agree with the OP it has to start some where, these prices are just ridiculous. I understand supply and demand but to buy and resale at 3, 4, 5 times the price is utter price gouging, there are laws to protect us from this. Let this get out of hand then we have no laws. Do you want the prices for one cartridge or 223/5.56 to stay over 50 cents or a even a dollar a round? Yes I have seen it being sold at a dollar a round and it wasn't just a few times.
