Wasr 10 Muzzle Break

I think you are fine. I am guessing the muzzle nut is welded on? If you remove the weld you just add another part to the 922 count, you could always just get a tapco slant break and then it would be a wash on the parts count.

no, you can take it off and you do not need to permanently attach anything. right now as far as 922 is concerned your gun does not have a muzzle attachment, and once you cut it the gun is then considered to have a muzzle attachment and if you are even on your parts count it would need to be replaced with a us made part
