LESchwartz 9
When I build my AMD-65 kit, the disconnector spring that came with the kit worked fine in the Tapco FCG I purchased . . . Now I'm working on "converting" my Saiga .308. However, the Saiga's disconnector spring is to large to fit into the Tapco FCG's disconnector. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so what did you do to solve it? thanks in advance, Larry
IndyArms 10,186
Redrill the hole in the disconnector slightly larger to accomodate the saiga spring is one way to go about it... Another spring was another option, although I am not sure where to get the other spring... What else am I missing here, guys???
blfuller 2
I drilled mine out and slightly deeper to accept the Saiga spring. I also modified the Tapco hammer by grinding to a similar profile of the Saiga hammer. Works great.
txn 0
Another spring was another option, although I am not sure where to get the other spring... Black Jack Buffers has them. Edited September 23, 2005 by txn
