devilfish13 6
Hello again all, I've recently purchased and installed a Midwest Industries universal AK SS quadrail, and I'm pleased with it thus far. My only concern is the air gap created in the front of the receiver, which the handguard leaves open. I've noticed before that UTG rails come with a number of metal brackets/spacers that can be installed between the handguard and receiver, does anyone know where I can purchase one? Or failing that, is there some generous person with an extra that would be willing to ship me one for a fee? Thanks in advance everyone!

devilfish13 6
This is what I'm referring to. The handguard is round where the receiver is square, so it leaves the corners wide open.
devilfish13 6
Nevermind. I'll probably be selling the MI SS handguard soon, watch the classifieds for it if you (referring to anyone) are interested. It'll wait until I drill and pin my combo fs/gb, and can put the stock handguard back on. I miss having a longer handguard. Edit: Obviously, I won't be able to mount the stock handguard again until I pin the block, the handguard is held on by the oversize gb pin.
