mag conversion questions

hey

 

just finished reading thru all 30+ pages of the 7.62 forum

and all 9 or whatever it is of the 223 forum

 

i now have a question or two concerning the conversion process

 

 

for the .223 mag mod to work it seems necessary to file

or remove the bumps protruding from the trunnion - (to avoid having to file every mag)

 

in examining the 7.62 and .223 side by side i see the bumps are present in the 7.62 also

 

so the question is...... do these bumps need to be removed

as on the .223 version?

 

im hip to the whole bullet guide thing'

have on on order right now - from private person on arfcom

i realize it will prolly need modded and what not

i plan on having my smith rivet it in there for me

Don't know what bumps you're referring to, but on the 7.62:

1: Bullet guide

2: Shorten mag release lever

3: Blast away!
