JERKYBOYXIII 1
The stock barrel is 19" and change. If i have it cut to 18", will it have a negative effect on feeding?
Anubis 38
I don't see that it would affect feeding, but there's a good chance it'll cause cycling issues.
JERKYBOYXIII 1
yuuuup! thats what i meant. maybe i should proofread before i hit POST!
james lambert 3,059
Mike It will run fine at 18'' or even a little less if you go class3 At 18, plus a little extra for legalitys sake, you can still re thread for chokes. And the gun will still run on 3 dram loads If you go short barrel, high power shells will be the only ones that function well Jim
JERKYBOYXIII 1
Thanks Jim. I'm not looking for class 3, so the 18" will be fine. Anybody recommend a good tactical choke? I like the shark brake on CSS, but it is always showing OUT OF STOCK...
james lambert 3,059
If you NEED a breaching device you can choose from quite a few manufacturers My duty shotgun, I use the Carlson tactical, its clean has outstanding metalurgy and bites into door frames and door faces very well. james lambert 3,059
The stock MKA uses a Winchester choke thread. We can cut and re thread, but are pretty busy at this time Several companies do that work briley comes to mind Jim
JERKYBOYXIII 1
A new place in Omaha that I am dealing with has a connection to do threading after they cut the barrel. I dont know how much the threading will cost, but I will keep the group posted.
toothandnail 275
We had a guy thread our Mossburg 930's , he charged $45.00 each, dropped them off, picked them up again 3 hours later. We had him do the Win choke threads as that was what most of our other SG's had, then the MKA matched up as well
