Capt Nemo 882
Just shot the main spring keeper somewhere in my shop. Heard it hit about 5-6 times in multiple locations. Anyone have a pic of what it looks like? I keep thinking it's like a metal butterfly that keeps the wire guides apart atop the spring.
ShadowFire 220
Sort of sounds like the recoil spring retainer. If it is it's circular with two u-shaped cuts in it. Google an exploded parts view blueprint of the AK-47 and it will show you what the part should look like.
Capt Nemo 882
Will do! Thanks!
Capt Nemo 882
I fabbed one this morning out of 22 gauge sheet. Mine holds the guide wires tight to the outside of the spring at the end. Doubt it'll go flying now! I love it when I can make my own parts!
